Captain Andy Gowen Fishing Report St Marys, GA

November Fishing has been on fire! This fishing report for St Mary’s Georgia, Cumberland Island, and Amelia Island is fresh off 3 consecutive trips of landing over 100 fish. The bite has been mainly Seatrout but we are also landing Sheepshead, Black Drum and Bull Reds. So far, The Seatrout seem to prefer  3/8 and 1/2oz  Tail chaser Banana Jigs in Chartreuse color (pic below).  The biggest concentration of Sea Trout seem to be in deeper water and are moving to shallower water as the tide rises. Earlier in the month, the NE wind was really picking up around noon causing us to run mainly early morning trips. The tide has been really high pretty much all month because of the recent Hurricane and the (Mid month) super moon. The big tides can be a huge advantage if you have a well thought out float plan, especially to nestle up in swallow water after Tailing Redfish but remember, with big tides comes minus falling tides so be prepared to pay the price if you stay to long. Below are some recent catches for November, enjoy the pics.
