About The Captain
Captain Andy Gowen was born in Jacksonville Florida and raised in Folkston, a small South Georgia town of friendly people. Captain Andy's love of fishing started at a young age. Fishing off the docks in Folkston for bass and other fish species, Captain Andy knew he would always be a fisherman. Captain Andy grew up fishing with his grandfather and father, whether in small ponds or offshore in Florida and in Georgia. Learning the techniques and perfect fishing spots has always been an important part of his fishing philosophy. Whether you are looking for a hardcore fishing trip or just fun with the family, Captain Andy can make it happen.
Becoming a Captain was the best way for Andy to share his love and knowledge of fishing with others. Captain Andy has been saltwater fishing his whole life and been a professional guide for over 2 and half years and specializes in shallow water fishing. Scoping out Crooked River, Cumberland Island and the jetties along the St. Mary's River are some of his favorite places to find fish. Captain Andy Gowen is licensed and insured and takes all safety precautions on each of his charter trips
